The story

The Deurganckdoksluis (now Kieldrechtsluis) is the largest sluice in the world and the Flemish Governement – Department MOW – planned to organize a big public event where people got to walk on the bottom of the structure, before it was filled with water.

For this 2-day event, our client set a goal of having 20.000 visitors. Wisenose delivered no less than 44.000 guests!

How did we do it? By creating an appealing concept and efficient communication strategy and executing it flawlessly of course… “Word meter of peter van jouw vierkante meter” was the slogan we launched to showcase how proud everyone could and should be of this impressive structure.

To create a huge social media buzz, people could take a picture (or have it taken) with a square meter frame, which was then uploaded to the eventwebsite and social media. Several likes, shares and tags later the event was trending big time!
